Judge Blocks Order To Detain Green Card Holders At Dulles

The United States President, Donald Trump executed an order banning the entry of immigrants from seven Muslim-majority countries. The department said it granted waivers to 392 legal permanent residents, known as green card holders, after they underwent additional screening and allowed to enter the country.

"To assume that just because of someone's age and gender that they don't pose a threat would be misguided and wrong", said Press Secretary Sean Spicer. "I don't see how that's a big problem".

Scott asked Dulles authorities whether any individuals affected by Trump's executive order were still in detention by that point, or if any had been transferred from Dulles to a detention facility outside the jurisdiction of Brinkema's court.

Chelsea prepare for "very angry", slightly desperate Liverpool
We could, however, be left with no more than a tussle for Champions League qualification after the next two rounds of fixtures. Goals from Richard Stearman and Andreas Weimann gave them their biggest FA Cup win since beating Newcastle United in 2003.

That assertion was challenged by a team of lawyers from civil rights and immigration advocacy groups, who said an undetermined number of legal immigrants were still being detained Monday at airports in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston, Las Vegas and New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport. "Some airports have been complying entirely with the stays that are issued, some we're trying to ensure compliance at this point". The president's order also cuts the number of refugees the USA plans to accept - from 85,000 down to 50,000 people - and it stops the admission of Syrian refugees indefinitely. Syrian refugees are blocked indefinitely. It also temporarily bars citizens of seven majority Muslim nations from entering the US, but there's confusion and an apparent walk-back about how it applies to certain groups, like USA legal permanent residents. "We will again be issuing visas to all countries once we are sure we have reviewed and implemented the most secure policies over the next 90 days". "Our staffs have worked diligently throughout the weekend to render assistance to distressed families, but it is completely unacceptable that public guidance from the Department of Homeland Security was nonexistent, incomplete or contradictory".

The airport was a mix of confusion all weekend, as it was unclear how many people were being detained, what would happen with them, and whose orders border control officials would follow.

Immigration advocacy lawyers said that viewpoint minimizes the fear and uncertainty travelers underwent.
