Altria recalls smokeless tobacco products

The complaints came in from Indiana, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin.

Several smokeless tobacco products are being recalled after complaints of "foreign metal objects" found in cans.

The threat of metal objects has prompted a recall of some varieties of Skoal, Copenhagen, Cope and Husky brand smokeless tobacco, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration says. In each case, the object was visible to the consumer.

The majority of USSTC's cans are NOT affected, according to the company, including Copenhagen Fine Cut in a fiberboard can, Copenhagen Long Cut in a fiberboard can and Copenhagen Long Cut Wintergreen in a plastic can.

US's aggressive rhetoric toward Iran escalates after missile launch
Mr Trump and his national security adviser Michael Flynn did not elaborate on what retaliatory actions the U.S. could pursue. Administration officials said they were not accusing Iran of violating the nuclear agreement with its recent missile test.

There have been no confirmed reports of injury or health concerns associated with the recall. We are also working closely with federal authorities to investigate.

The products were manufactured exclusively in the company's Franklin Park, IL facility and distributed nationally.

A list of the recalled items appears on the company's website. USSTC's sales representatives will assist wholesalers and retailers in returning the product.

It appears this is the first time in recent history the company has recalled its products, according to the FDA's archives.
