Trump's Labor Secretary Nominee Puzder Withdraws Nomination

Trump Agrees to Agree with Whatever Solution Israel and Palestine Agree

"While we welcome the news that Andrew Puzder will not be our next Secretary of Labor, it is incumbent upon the President to nominate someone who will fully respect the laws created to protect American workers".

Citing a senior GOP source, CNN reported that top Senate Republicans had been urging the White House to withdraw Puzder's nomination. "I am honored to have been considered by President Donald Trump to lead the Department of Labor and put America's workers and businesses back on a path to sustainable prosperity". Problems with Puzder's past - his position on immigration that counters those of President Donald Trump, reports that he failed to pay taxes, reports that he hired an unauthorized immigrant as housekeeper, and an allegation of domestic abuse - may have driven Republican Senators away.

During one of his confirmation hearings, Puzder confirmed that he and his wife had employed an undocumented housekeeper for years.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) decried Puzder's nomination on the Senate floor shortly after rumors of Puzder's withdrawal became public.

Puzder was less a Labor Secretary nominee and more a caricature of what a ridiculous cabinet selection looks like.

As a restaurant executive, Puzder has spent much of his career speaking out against wage and labor regulations.

Joe Root will be Alastair Cook's successor as England Test captain
Ben Stokes is expected to be named vice-captain as the new generation of England players takes over formal leadership roles. After Alastair Cook stepped down last week, the Selectors and I engaged in the proper process to appoint his successor.

However, he said it was unlikely that machines could ever replace kitchen jobs at his Carl's Jr. and Hardee's stores, Puzder said. He made a minor foray into politics in 2011, when he served as an economic adviser and spokesman for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who recently endorsed his nomination.

"The fact that someone so anti-labor was even nominated shows how far President Trump is from where he campaigned", Schumer said. She was terminated and Puzder later paid federal and state back taxes.

"I've expressed my concerns about a number of issues", Maine Republican Sen. Puzder withdrew amid skepticism from Republican senators. On Wednesday, a 27-year-old videotape of his ex-wife alleging spousal abuse on the Oprah Winfrey Show surfaced, although she rescinded those claims.

Sens. Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Tim Scott of SC and Johnny Isakson of George had told GOP leaders they will not vote for Puzder, CNN said.

Puzder's exit comes less than two days after Trump's National Security Advisor Gen. Michael Flynn exited over his calls with Russian officials prior to the election.
