Knicks lift ban on Charles Oakley, but he wants apology

Adam Silver said that James Dolan and Charles Oakley were both apologetic about the incident and their negative impact on the Knicks team as well as the National Basketball Association. "So if it wasn't a problem then when he was doing it for y'all, why is it all of a sudden a problem now when he speak out on something that he don't like, and now you want to disown him from your entire organization?"

Draymond Green has rarely been shy about expressing his viewpoint, and Wednesday, he weighed in with a strong take on the Jim Dolan/Charles Oakley feud that has roiled the Knicks.

Oakley said he is "in pain now".

The fact that the former power forward was arrested and charged with three counts of assault and that the Knicks, under the ownership of James Dolan, said that they hope that Oak "gets some help soon" only made it worse. "In the event that the ban is not lifted, NAN's Northeast Regional Director Kirsten John Foy is mobilizing people to picket Madison Square Garden in solidarity".

"When you look at what's going on now with the Melo situation in their organization and now how you do a legend in Charles Oakley, I don't know a free agent that would want to go there". There were no alcohol-related charges issued. NYPD charged Oakley with three counts of assault stemming from the February 8 incident in which he tussled with security guards after cursing them out. That's not something that you say to the world. "It's not okay for you to go say to the world as a multibillion dollar organization". Oakley believes he has been shunned by Dolan and the Knicks for making critical public statements about the organization. "How can you even pin that on someone?"

"I'm glad that it seems that it's heading [toward] a positive resolution", Van Gundy, a current ESPN analyst, said before Wednesday's Knicks-Thunder game.

But NBA commissioner Adam Silver met with Oakley and Dolan Monday, with Hornets owner Michael Jordan taking part on a conference call. "Not a big deal for our guys, they handled it pretty well, but there is always talk about it. I definitely think, like I said, that that's a slave-master mentality".
