Bryan Singer's 'X-Men' TV Pilot Casts Jamie Chung as Blink

Chung, who has appeared on "Once Upon a Time", "Gotham", and "Believe", will star alongside Blair Redford ("Switched at Birth"), who plays underground leader Sam. There's actually an alternate version of Blink that most comic fans are probably more familiar with: the version from the comic world's "Age of Apocalypse" timeline (where, you guessed it, Apocalypse rules the world) that eventually played a major part in the cross-dimensional superteam, the Exiles. Considering that there's already been a Blink in X-Men: Days of Future Past - as played by Bingbing Fan - then changes have already been made.

The character first showed up in Marvel's Uncanny X-Men in 1994, the creation of Scott Lobdell and Joe Madureira.

At least 4 dead as fierce Southern California storm causes flash floods
An official at Los Angeles International Airport said 64 flights were cancelled and 269 delayed because of the storm. Southwest Airlines canceled nearly all of its flights in and out of the area on Friday, along with some Saturday.

Just when you thought you had all the X-Men you can handle - the upcoming Logan, New Mutants a distant promise, the current FX show Legion, the future Hulu show The Runaways, and some unknown film project directed by Simon Kinberg - Fox TV went and added another mutant franchise to the pile.

Fox's untitled X-Men show has Burn Notice's Matt Nix as showrunner, with long-time X-Men movie director Bryan Singer helming the pilot. Marvel described the character as "a sarcastic and lively tomboy", whose "naturally strong exuberance has taken a hit after a sudden and traumatic upheaval of her life". Actress Jamie Chung has been cast as Clarice Ferguson, a.k.a. Blink! The family joins an underground network of mutants and must fight for survival. Casting is still taking place and no other names have been announced as of yet. Actress Jamie Chung (who ironically joined the DC television universe last fall with a recurring role on Fox's Gotham), has joined the cast of Fox's X-Men pilot as Clarice Fong aka Blink.
