Indiana Teen Secretly Recorded Video of Suspect Before Her Murder

Authorities squash social media investigation rumors in Delphi; prep for press conference

"Liberty had the presence of mind to turn on the video camera", said Indiana State Police Capt. David Bursten.

Additional video, also taken from Libby's phone, will not be released because the investigation is ongoing, Bursten said. "You may tell us who the right person was". "Abby" Williams, 13, and Liberty Rose Lynn "Libby" German, 14, both from Delphi. According to police, there's no telling if the person was local, knew the girls or contacted them previously.

Police investigating the slayings of two girls in IN released new evidence today in hopes it will lead to the capture of their killer. They say unless you see if from law enforcement, then it may be inaccurate. "There's no doubt in our minds that that young lady is a hero".

Greg Massa, assistant special agent in charge of the FBI's Indianapolis field office, asked residents of Delphi and nearby communities to go back to February 13 in hopes of identifying anyone who did anything unusual that day, including someone who canceled an appointment, called out sick from work or backed out of a social engagement - even with a plausible excuse. Officers said the audio clip may or may not be associated with the suspect pictured in the photo, as there could be more than one person involved. It showed a man in a blue jacket, hoodie and blue jeans who was hiking on the trail around the time of the girls' disappearance. Liberty German's decision to make a recording provided police with their best information.

Government must reconsider ICC withdrawal
South Africa's parliament began considering the ICC issue last month - three months after the government announced its withdrawal. The ruling African National Congress holds a majority in parliament and can force through its decision if it wants.

Abigail Williams, 13, and Liberty German, 14, went missing on Monday after going for a hike at 1pm near the Monon High Bridge along the Delphi Historic Trails. Abigail and Liberty were reported missing to police after their parents were unable to locate them at the pick-up location. "I say that because this is a classic example that evil lives amongst us".

After an extensive search, their bodies were found at around 12:15 p.m. the next day about one-half mile upstream from the bridge.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the Delphi Murder Tip Line at 844-459-5786.

Authorities have also announced that an award of up to $41,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of a suspect in the murders.
