Flight to Hawaii from Las Vegas diverted because of passenger

Passenger Disturbance Over Cost Of $12 Blanket Forces Hawaii Flight To Land At LAX

The employee informed the man there was a $12 fee for a blanket and he became angry. The 66-year-old man complained of being cold, asked for a blanket, learned the price, and demanded to talk to the airline's corporate office.

"We had an unruly passenger on board, so the pilot elected to divert to LAX", said Hawaiian Airlines spokesman Alex Da Silva.

According to the Los Angeles Airport Police Department, the man was removed from the plane without incident.

He was allowed to book another flight to his destination. "I'm going to call the president".

But one passenger, who was sat across the aisle from the man, was told by staff the man had threatened the pilot.

Passenger Claudia Rodriguez, a Dallas resident, said the airline did not provide much information during the incident.

Scarlett Johansson vows to 'never, ever' speak of divorce
I would implore her to withdraw her action promptly and to go back, as uncomfortable as it might be, to the negotiating table. However, insiders revealed that this became complicated due to the amount that Scarlett travels for work.

The dispute happened an hour after the Hawaii-bound plane took off from Las Vegas, after he requested a blanket and was told it cost US$12 (NZ$17.40).

Passengers on the flight had mixed reactions to the delay. "Our crew felt it was necessary to divert to Los Angeles and deplane the passenger before beginning to fly over the Pacific Ocean", says the airline in a statement. The flight attendant said the cabin was "on secured lock-down".

Data from the Flight Radar 24 website shows that the diverted flight later continued on to Honolulu following its unscheduled LA stop.

"I thought it was ridiculous", traveler Eileen Berstrom said. "First of all, it costs $12,000 for them to land here, and it's a $12 blanket".

But not all passengers agreed with the airline's decision. The man was escorted off the plane.
