Israel's PM reiterates promise to build new West Bank settlement

"Policy that is acceptable to us, and not just to the Americans", Netanyahu said, according to the PNN. "Naturally, this will be good for the State of Israel since we have not been in these processes for many years".

A real estate lawyer who has worked for Trump for 20 years, Jason Greenblatt has met Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanayhu, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Jordan's King Abdullah and other senior officials during a busy round of talks that US diplomats have described as a "listening tour".

Greenblatt is touring the Middle East to meet with the Israeli, Palestinian and Jordanian leadership as Washington seeks to strike a possible peace settlement under Trump's administration. In February, the Israeli Supreme Court ruled that the settlement is illegal as it is built on privately-owned Palestinian land.

Greenblatt has already met with settler leaders which included members from Samaria Regional Council and Efrat Council.

Following the prime minister's meeting with the envoy, his office released a statement describing it as "another positive discussion". The American envoy also paid visits to the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and to King Abdullah in Amman, Jordan.

The meeting, scheduled for Thursday afternoon in Jerusalem, would be the second between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Trump's special adviser for global negotiations, Jason Greenblatt, in a week.

Ibobi quits as Manipur CM, BJP stakes claim
"The people of Goa have defeated the BJP", said Singh who is here in Goa to oversee the party's affairs after counting of votes. Moreover, the party could have protested before the state governor and convince her by presenting the list of supporters.

It was the second long meeting of the week for the two; the first, a five-hour conversation was held before Greenblatt went to Ramallah to meet with the PA leadership.

About 385,000 Israeli citizens live in West Bank while 200,000 live in East Jerusalem.

The meetings are part of the White House efforts to formulate a new solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Israel occupied the West Bank and Gaza Strip in the 1967 Mideast War and has been controlling them ever since, despite global condemnations. Israel disagrees, citing historical and political links to the land, as well as security interests.

The two came to an agreement at the meeting that the launch date would not be postponed, despite Netanyahu's recent request to do so, and after it had been delayed in the past.
