Bears' Hall, Packers' Dorleant arrested in Iowa

Deiondre Hall

Bears cornerback Deiondre' Hall was one of two National Football League players arrested after an alleged fight outside a bar in Iowa early Sunday, according to police.

Hall did not respond to police instructions and spit in the officers' faces, according to the affidavit.

A taser was reportedly used on Hall during the arrest.

He resisted after being put into handcuffs, at which point the arresting officer "administered a stun gun" to Hall's left leg to get him to comply, according to a Cedar Falls Police complaint.

Everybody's crying and it doesn't feel good, but we had a great run and I love everybody on this team. Make no mistake, though, the Tar Heels haven't played their best basketball in the tournament.

He was cited on three misdemeanors: "Interference with official acts, public intoxication and disorderly conduct for fighting" after refusing to enter the police vehicle or be handcuffed. Dorleant was charged with interference. He resisted arrest, so an officer tasered his left leg to get him in the squad vehicle.

Authorities also arrested Makinton Dorleant, 24, now a cornerback with the Green Bay Packers, for interference for allegedly hampering police efforts to detain Hall and quell the disturbance.

Dorleant allegedly kept approaching officers in a threatening manner during the incident, Olson said.

According to Cedar Falls Police, officers were responding to a call in the area when they noticed a bouncer at Sharky's trying to remove people because of a fight inside. The Bears drafted Hall with the 29th pick of the 4th round in the 2016 draft, but the rookie was limited to 8 games after being hobbled by an ankle injury.
