An extra spoke out about appearing in that Kendall Jenner Pepsi advert

Pepsi in Hot Water with SFPD Over Terrible Ad

The hokey restaging of recent political history - including protest signs reading "Join the Conversation"- was instantly attacked on the Internet for its insensitivity, specifically to the Black Lives Matter movement.

Even by the standards of modern television commercials, the now-defunct Pepsi ad starring supermodel and Kardashian sibling Kendall Jenner was dumb.

In the sketch that aired on last night's episode (April 8), cast member Beck Bennett plays the writer behind the advert.

Kendall Jenner is now under fire for her controversial Pepsi ad that was deemed discriminatory to the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement.

Gun theft suspect threatens schools, sent 'manifesto' to Trump
Thursday morning, reports of a man with a gun who appeared to be drunk at Lincoln Elementary School prompted a lockdown. He can be seen buying stamps at the Janesville Post Office before crossing the street and mailing the manifesto.

But it was Bernice King's tweet on Wednesday - exactly 49 years after her father was murdered - that likely forced Pepsi to pull the ad.

It's been a long week for Kendall Jenner, who was the star of Pepsi's ill-fated commercial that was meant to promote harmony and instead led to massive Internet backlash that seemed like the worst case of backwash ever.

After Doug and Carrie tell Bennet's character what a awful idea the commercial is, he does what Pepsi probably should've done-he asks a black person for feedback. "Everybody is marching and they get to these police officers and you think it's going to go bad because there's kind of a standoff". But they don't. Before you know it, he's panicking.

Despite considerable backlash to the ad on social media, Pepsi is standing by the commercial. He accused its producers of making light of serious racial issues affecting the U.S. Though she wasn't involved, Kendall's initial remarks about the commercial showed excitement for the idea."She was after all the first model to appear in a Pepsi ad since Cindy Crawford's iconic role back in 1992". While their stated intent was to "project a global message of unity, peace and understanding", their impact was quite the opposite. "Clearly we missed the mark, and we apologize", the brand had said in a statement.
