Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino: Will anyone over 13 drink this?

ABC Uproxx

"It is finished with vanilla whipped cream and a sprinkle of sweet pink and sour blue powder topping", the company said of the drink.

The Unicorn Frappuccino is made with a sweet dusting of pink powder blended into a crème Frappuccino with mango syrup and layered with a "pleasantly sour" blue drizzle.

Here's the thing about Starbucks' latest drink: If you don't like the color or flavor, just give it a stir.

Unicorns are all the rage this year, and Starbucks has brewed its own creation to take advantage of the phenomenon. It appears no actual unicorns were harmed in the making of the libation. Think again. From rainbow grilled cheese sandwiches to unicorn hot chocolate, this magical culinary club is getting another member: the Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino. It not only changes color but also flavor, with the sweet and fruity taste transforming into tangy and tart once you mix it.

The Unicorn Frappuccino blended creme will be sold Wednesday through Sunday, while supplies last.

Recently, the coffee chain officially added the viral "Pink Drink" - a popular item from its "secret menu" - to its official beverage line-up. Grown-up tasters assumed, based on the colors, that it was raspberry-flavored.

A Starbucks spokesperson told Business Insider that at tall Unicorn Frappuccino made with whole milk and whipped cream is 280 calories and 39 grams of sugar.
