Easy choice: Browns CB Haden wants Garrett with No. 1 pick

Easy choice: Browns CB Haden wants Garrett with No. 1 pick

The start of the 2017 NFL Draft is just over a week away, and the Chicago Bears hold the No. 3 overall pick.

"We don't want to make a habit of turning two picks into one, but we're positioned to do it, " Brown said.

In past National Football League drafts, 31 times a quarterback has been the number one overall pick. But if they take Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett with the No. 1 pick as expected, Trubisky could be gone before they pick again at No. 12. The Patriots maintained they wanted to keep Garoppolo, who's entering the previous year of his rookie contract, but director of player personnel Nick Carserio left the door slightly ajar Tuesday. Kearse had longer arms and Garrett appears to be a more skilled pass rusher than Kearse was at this same juncture of their college careers, but their playing style and high-end ability make this my preferred comparison.

The only way that Cleveland could guarantee picking both Garrett and Trubisky, would be to trade for the #2 pick in the draft, owned by the 49ers. Not one of them started games in more than three consecutive seasons for them.

"I think whatever team gets him, particularly for us, we'd be proud to have him", Brown concluded.

That's not to say Brown is flat-out lying when he says a team called about trading up for a quarterback.

At No. 1, the Browns, for the first time in 17 years, have complete control over who they land with their first overall pick.

In my opinion, Webb is more of a pro-ready quarterback in this year's draft compared to Trubisky. We have said the draft is going to be the pipeline. While both players may have received medical clearance from some teams, that doesn't mean all clubs have passed them. They can go with a best player available (BPA), regardless of position.

"When I was a freshman, some of the coaches were out one night and I guess one of their family members was talking about me and kinda stuttered or murmured my first and last name", Trubisky said. We think no matter how prepared you are, there's always a lot of uncertainty in the draft.

Haden is fully recovered from a serious groin injury that limited him last season and required surgery. "I don't think you move up to get a safety or a corner". "The biggest thing is just the accountability thing of calling you out, being in your face, and there's really nothing you can do about it". "We need somebody that's going to switch it up, change it up, tell us something, cuss us out, scream at us, let us know that we're sorry right now and we've got to be better. Yes", Brown said. "But are we planning on it, or is that the plan? No".

With the likelihood of a (New England Patriots') Jimmy Garoppolo trade diminishing with every passing day, chances are high that the Browns will opt to take a quarterback in the 2017 NFL Draft.
