Does this leak prove Motorola is working on a new Android tablet?

Moto Z2 Play

Motorola is reportedly working on a new Moto tablet, according to Android Police. As soon as we find out more about the gadget, we will let you know.

Well, the leaked screenshot doesn't reveal much about the specs of the tablet but does show some demo on how the Productivity Mode will work.

Not only that, the Motorola tablet will allow users to switch between home screen and apps in the system navigation bar. Users can toggle between the open app by tapping the icons, and can close them by dragging the icon up from the navigation bar. If you enable it, the interface will switch to Chrome OS-style navbar at the bottom of the screen.

Productivity mode is an enhanced version of the traditional multi-window mode, which was introduced by the latest Android 7.0 Nougat. The feature was previously seen on the Lenovo Yoga Book that was launched in India last December. Unfortunately, the source didn't provide any information on the device's other specifications like processor, storage or RAM. Also, there are chances that one or more variants might come with cellular connectivity. Information on when and where it's going to be released were also not given.

Meanwhile, check out Motorola's Android tablet Xoom in the video below!

The big picture: While it remains to be seen if people will ever want to buy a premium Android tablet, this is exactly the kind of thing that Android tablets need. The lowest end 16GB model of the Droid Xyboard 10.1 costs $699, while the 8.2 starts at $430 for its 32GB model.

Also, there hasn't been any major Android tablet update in a long while, so this Lenovo-Moto tablet would be especially welcomed by Android lovers. This really stinks since you probably won't get the few-days-of-use you get with the current Z Play with the Z2 Play, a phone that's naturally supposed to be better in every form and fashion.
