LeBron Undaunted By Challenge Of Facing Warriors In Finals

Draymond Green not bored by another Cavs-Dubs Finals matchup

Aside from some small additions and subtractions such as the Warriors losing Harrison Barnes, and the Cavaliers adding Kyle Korver, the biggest change from the 2016 NBA Finals to this season's matchup is the Warriors' addition of Kevin Durant. But Cleveland's superstar feels "very good" about the Cavaliers' chances to repeat as champions despite being tabbed major underdogs.

On the brink of becoming the first player since the early 1960s to play in seven straight Finals, James finds himself in a similar - and somewhat surprising - situation.

And then, nearly as if he was trying to remind himself that he's got three championship rings and is frightful in his own right, James recalled other fearsome postseason opponents - San Antonio and Boston.

LeBron James has faced a bevy of tough challenges over the course of his 14-year NBA career, and another one awaits in the 2017 NBA Finals.

Green could be the difference maker this year as Golden State's fourth start to complement the Warriors' top trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant.

"I've played against four Hall of Famers as well, too, with Manu (Ginobili), Kawhi (Leonard), Tony (Parker) and Timmy D (Tim Duncan) on the same team", said James, occasionally sniffling as he continues to fight a cold. "So now, with the way the Finals went down previous year, if I were in his shoes, I would want the same thing". "We match up well with them, and I think they'd say the same about us".

Rahul Gandhi to visit strife-hit Saharanpur despite being denied permission
He plans to visit Shabbirpur village, the epicentre of clashes between Dalits and Thakurs or Rajputs since last month. On Thursday, the Centre sought a report from the UP government on the continuing violence in Saharanpur.

Still stinging after the Warriors blew a 3-1 lead in last year's Finals against Cleveland, the vociferous Green, who was suspended from Game 5, said if given the chance again, he plans to "destroy and annihilate" the Cavs. "LeBron James" team will be the underdog.

"Those guys are going to challenge me, they are going to challenge our ballclub", said James, who last week surpassed Michael Jordan as the all-time playoff leading scorer.

What does matter is that the 32-year-old is having one of his finest postseasons, and the Cavs are gelling the way they did at this time last year. They've been super-impressive. It's kind of in our minds that that's who we were going to see.

"First of all, I don't get involved in the hype", James said. We don't know yet. We both added pieces that have helped our offensive package and defensive package be even more scary and obviously you can see that.

"We're not going to use that as motivation", Lue said. And Steph said, 'It wasn't easy.' Like, 'We put in the work, we came in every single day and put in the work to get to this point to play in June.

"And I saw Draymond said [Friday] night, he just talked about just two great teams". We had to earn it.' And both teams had to do the same thing.
