South Korea's In-Kyung Kim wins ShopRite LPGA Classic

General views from the Shop Rite LPGA Classic Presented by Acer

In-Kyung Kim, of South Korea, holds the trophy after winning the ShopRite LPGA Classic golf tournament Sunday, June 4, 2017, in Galloway Township, N.J.

The 29-year-old was vying to become the first two-time victor on the LPGA Tour in 2017 - she won the Bank of Hope Founders Cup earlier this year - but it was not to be, as her 2-under-par 69 Sunday wasn't enough.

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - Anna Nordqvist knows how to get around Stockton Seaview - and likes the view from atop the ShopRite LPGA Classic leaderboard.

"It just really fits my eye", Nordqvist said. "I didn't do a very good job of that". It nearly feels like home now with a lot of supporters and a lot of friends here.”.

"I really prepared for this summer and I really didn't expect it right away but I knew my game was better than previous year, so that's really all I could ask for", she said in a greenside interview, a broad smile on her face after being drenched in champagne.

"This winter I didn't have any break, I needed some time to get ready for the summer", Kim said. Happy with my start and looking forward to the rest.”.

Nordqvist held part of the lead during the middle of her round Sunday, but South Korea's In-Kyung Kim's 11-under-par total was too much for her to eclipse.

According to LPGA projections, either South Korean Ryu So-Yeon or Thailand's Ariya Jutanugarn will take over the top spot come Monday.

Gianforte wins in Montana; apologizes to reporter
Jacobs captured audio of the encounter which began with Jacobs asking Gianforte about the congressional health care bill. Gianforte's support came from people like Bozeman advertising executive Cailley Tonn, who voted early for Gianforte.

"Just so windy. It was tough", Kim said. "I just stuck it in there close".

With Jutanugarn also skipping the event, Ryu can grab the top ranking if she either wins in New Jersey, finishes in a two- or three-way tie for second or comes outright third.

Ryu continued a disappointing record at the Shoprite Classic by missing the cut and so the door was left open for Jutanugarn to take over from New Zealand's Lydia Ko who, after holding the top position for 84 weeks, has slipped to number two.

Nordqvist had nine birdies and two bogeys.

Meanwhile, Wie thrilled fans early in Sunday's final round with four birdies in her first five holes.

Ariya Jutanugarn hits from the second course tee box during the third round of the ANA Inspiration golf tournament at Mission Hills CC - Dinah Shore Tournament Course. The greens are pretty small and it feels like you have to give yourself quite a few opportunities to make a couple.”. Her most recent victory came at the 2016 Reignwood LPGA Classic in October. Stacy Lewis now has the longest LPGA cut streak with 49 straight made.

The 21-year-old won five LPGA tournaments last year.
