Qatar vows no surrender in Gulf crisis as US, Kuwait seek solution

No-one has right to 'blockade' my country, says Qatar foreign minister

Qatar is not ready to change its foreign policy to resolve a dispute with fellow Gulf Arab states and will never compromise, foreign minister said.

Qatar denies having any ties to extremists. These include cutting all links with Iran, the pan-Arab Muslim Brotherhood network and the Palestinian militant group Hamas. Qatar rejects claims it is a leading supporter of Islamist extremism.

"No one has the right to intervene in our foreign policy", Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani said.

He told reporters that Qatar had never experienced this type of hostility, even from an enemy country.

A top Emirati diplomat said Wednesday "there's nothing to negotiate" with Qatar over a growing diplomatic dispute about the energy-rich nation's alleged funding of terror groups, signaling Arab countries trying to isolate it won't back down.

The minister added that Qatar would respect its LNG gas agreement with the United Arab Emirates, despite the UAE allying with Saudi Arabia in the rift.

Saudi Arabia has also closed off Qatar's only land border, a crucial lifeline for food imports.

Netanyahu: Trump Visit To Western Wall 'Destroyed UNESCO's Lies'
Prior to the Manchester terror attack, Trump explained in his speech in Saudi Arabia that America alone "cannot crush this enemy". Trump is visiting Jerusalem and West Bank on the second part of his maiden foreign trip since taking office in January.

Sheikh Mohammed said Thursday Qatar had not yet been presented with the list.

Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt and Bahrain lead a string of countries that this week cut ties with Qatar over what they say is the emirate's financing of extremist groups and its ties to Iran, Saudi Arabia's regional arch-rival.

On what was said to be the demands of the states which severed their relations with Qatar, Al-Thani said "There are no clear demands yet, and we are waiting", adding that he does not expect any military escalation in the current crisis.

The unfolding Arab crisis is drawing in additional players every day.

"There are question marks over the future of GCC because internal ties in the council should be based on solidarity and cooperation and everyone knows that Gulf peoples are united by one culture as well as kinship", Sheikh Mohammed told Al Jazeera, adding that "using the council as a tool to impose a guardianship on a member state or thinking about imposing a guardianship on, interfering in our internal affairs and addressing the people is unacceptable".

The Qatari foreign minister said he still did not understand what the accusations against Doha were all about.
