Schiff says firing Mueller would echo Watergate

Trump is likely to get much, much worse. Here are a few big things to watch for.

During a press conference on May 18, the day after Mueller was named special counsel, ABC News' chief White House correspondent Jonathan Karl asked Trump if his appointment was the right move. Again, if the president-I'd say this to the president and all the people around him.

"So I think the best advice would be to let Robert Mueller do his job", Ryan said in response to a question at a news conference on Tuesday regarding reports that several Republicans have urged Trump to fire Mueller. In fact, the chain of command for the special counsel is only directly to the Attorney General or in this case the Acting Attorney General.

Trump would have to get Attorney General Jeff Sessions to do the sacking; it's unclear whether Sessions would agree, given that he had recused himself with regard to all things Russian Federation probe.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein is on Capitol Hill today at 10 a.m. ET, addressing the budget appropriations committees for both the House and the Senate. I think it's very clear by what one of his lawyers said on television recently. "I will defend the integrity of that investigation", Rosenstein said. The Times reported Trump had been bothered by conservative news reports that Mueller was close to James Comey, the Federal Bureau of Investigation director whom Trump fired in May.

The effort to muddy the waters surrounding the investigation is coming amid growing White House concern that the probe could detract from the president's agenda for months or years to come.

"I think Congress should now intervene and they should abolish the independent counsel", the former House speaker said. Sessions has recused himself from the investigation.

When asked about the issue by the Senate Intelligence Committee, Sessions deferred to the President's account.

But Ruddy isn't the only Trump supporter who has raised the idea of firing Mueller.

Trump to Reverse Cuba Policy, Reinstate 'Regime Change' Goals
Educational trips will reportedly be required to travel with a guide from a US sponsoring organization, according to the Herald . And Americans can still self-certify under a general license that they are traveling to Cuba for legitimate reasons.

US President Donald Trump was reportedly considering firing special counsel Robert Mueller from Russian Federation probe, even though he legally can't.

The memo reportedly recommended Comey's dismissal for having mishandled the Department of Justice investigation into former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's emails, according to VICE.

The CEO is Newsmax Media called Mueller "illegitimate" as a special counsel because the investigation itself has no basis.

PBS's Judy Woodruff reported Monday that Trump friend Chris Ruddy told her after visiting the White House that Trump is "considering perhaps terminating" Mueller - a decision that would set off a massive political backlash.

Former Speaker of the House of Representatives Newt Gingrich tweeted Monday that he refused to believe Mueller could ever handle the Russian investigation fairly.

"With respect to this subject, only the president or his attorneys are authorized to comment", White House press secretary Sean Spicer also told NPR.

Democratic senators on the committee attempted to clarify the boundaries of Sessions' recusal, something they say is unclear.

I met Mueller only once, when he was assistant attorney general for the criminal division.
