Bruno Mars to Open the 2017 BET Awards in Los Angeles

Ghanaian dancehall artiste Stonebwoy will be performing at the 2017 BET Experience Main Stage on June 25, 2017.

The 2017 BET Awards will be hosted by actress/comedian and SNL star Leslie Jones.

The "B" in BET Awards could stand for Beyonce or Bruno Mars.

In addition to Bruno's performance, the BET Awards will feature performances from DJ Khaled, Lil Wayne, Big Sean, Future, Migos, Chris Brown, Mary J. Blige, Trey Songz, Lifetime Achievement Award recipients New Edition and many more. Those who don't want to watch the award show on television have several options to choose from when it comes to viewing this year's ceremony.

Another exciting year and the 17th BET Awards are sure to entertain and enthrall viewers. The nominees for this year's awards were announced on May 15, 2017, and the two artists who are leading the nominations are Beyoncé Knowles with seven, and Bruno Mars with five. In addition to his performance, the "That's What I Like" singer is nominated for Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, Coca-Cola Viewers' Choice Award, Video Director of the Year, Video of the Year and Album of the Year.

The 2017 BET Awards airs tonight from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles at 8 p.m. ET. Familiar faces like Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith and Jamie Foxx will appear alongside newer names like Trevor Noah, Algee Smith and Yara Shahidi to present the awards for the night. And aside from tuning in for the actual awards ceremony, a special backstage live stream will take place on Twitter starting around 8:30 p.m. EST.
