Louisiana Joins States Refusing to Release Voter Data

STATEMENT FROM THE NAACP ON PRESIDENT TRUMP'S ADVISORY COMMISSION ON ELECTION INTEGRITY, AND ITS ATTEMPT AT VOTER

IL has yet to receive an official request from President Donald Trump's commission looking into alleged voter fraud in the 2016 election, but it's drawing plenty of interest in the state nonetheless.

The Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity - chaired by Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach - is investigating alleged presidential election voter fraud.

The lawyers said the requested disclosure is barred by law. When I mentioned to Powell that several states had rejected the idea without having formally received the letter, said: "We don't feel that that is prudent".

Brian Frosh said in an email Monday that assistant attorneys general representing the State Board of Elections have considered the request over the weekend from the commission.

President Donald Trump claims voter fraud caused him to lose the popular vote in the presidential election.

Probe launched after seven sailors killed in ship collision
The Navy's 7th Fleet said searchers found the bodies Sunday morning Japan time after the ship returned to its base in Japan. Seven sailors were listed as missing following the collision , but it is unclear if all had been found by navy divers.

"I denied the Obama Justice Department's request and I'm denying President Trump's Commission's request because they are both politically motivated", noted Schedler.

"Wisconsin statutes do not permit the state to release a voter's date of birth, driver license number or Social Security number. In fact, the Commission has stated its intent to release this vast trove of data to the public, creating significant concerns with how that data will ultimately be used".

Chris Whitmire, Director of Public Information & Training at the SC Election Commission, says the agency keeps data on what elections a voter takes part in, including if they voted in a Republican or Democratic party primary.

"Numerous states are refusing to give information to the very distinguished VOTER FRAUD PANEL", Trump tweeted of officials from more than 20 states who so far have questioned the panel's request.

In Maryland, leading Democrats, including Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamentez and almost 50 members of the General Assembly, condemned the commission's work. And, it was recently confirmed by the report issued by the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS), comprised of the chief election officers of all 50 states. "With only two instances of confirmed voter fraud from the total voter turnout of 2,734,176 in the 2012 Presidential General Election, we can safely say that there is no evidence of coordinated or systematic voter fraud in Maryland".
